I have seen a lot of short animations uploaded here at Deviant that are meant to be seen as loops, but only play once...hopefully this tutorial will help.

marvelous, by the way. when publishing it as a moving non-stop icon, is it .gif?

Thank you very much for this tutorial! At first, I was at a loss with my animation. I was afraid it had to do with some complex actionscript thing or some requirement from DA , but this made it more understandable!

I'm wondering, though: is there something about the way DA works that makes this necessary? Why doesn't a swf file loop automatically? I'm still new to Flash, so I figured I'd ask.

Anyway, again, thanks very much!

So many people have you to thank and I am most definately one of them! I've spent a solid month fretting and stressing over trying to find a tutorial that actually works, and you have lifted a very heavy burden off my shoulders, thank you very much ;D
